   Stanley A. Matlack, 64, Burrton, passed away November 28, 2012 at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson.  He was born January 27, 1948 at Hutchinson, son of William (Wayne) and Elizabeth Cunningham Matlack.  He served in the U.S. Army where he was a Chief Warrant Officeer and was a pilot of a CH 47 heicopter.  He received two Distinguished  Flying Cross Medals and two Bronze Stars.  He was a member of the Pleasant Grove United Methodist  Church, Burrton and a lifetime member of the VFW at large.  He worked as a service technician for 25 years for RV unlimited.

   On September 15, 1979 he married Velva Hubbell at Burrton, she survives.  Other survivors: two daughters, Michelle (Steve) Darey, Salina; Marsha (Danny) Berg of Salina; his mother,  Elizabeth Matlack-Collins of Hutchinson; three brothers, Larry (Betty); Bill (Melissa), Brian (Debbie), all of Burrton. one sister, Crystal (Tony) Koehn, Park City, Kansas; 5 grandchildren, Ashley and Pierce Carey, Lindsey, McKayla and Derek Berg and mother-in-law, Beula Wilson of Gove.  He was preceded in death by his father, one  daughter,  Angela Matlack-Benton; one son, Troy Allan Matlack; one granddaughter, Allyson, Kaye Berg.

   Services were held at Pleasant Grove United Methohdist Church with burial in the Burrton Cemetery with millitary rites conducted by Ft. Riley Honor Guard.  Memorials to Cancer Council of Reno County.
