Burrton - Lyle L. Campbell, 80, died Dec. 24, 2007, at his residence, Burrton. He was born Sept. 15, 1927, in
Burrton, the son of Earl II., and Myrtle Hobbs Campbell. He was a
farmer and stockman. He belonged to Burrton Christian
Church and formerly served on the Burrton School Board and Lake
Township Board. On July 11, 1950, he married Eldora
Hansen at Bentley. She died Dec. 27, 1967. On Dec. 29, 1968, he
married Faye Ragan at Wichita. She survives. Other survivors include: two sons, Ed
Campbell, Halstead, Gerry Campbell, Burrton; two stepdaughters, Judy
Whelchel, Indio, Calif., Jan Moya, Clayton, N.C.; two sisters, Ruth
McCurry, Burrton, and Anne Muse, Topeka; two grandchildren; six step
-grandchildren; and six step- great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister,
Jean Campbell. Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at
Burrton Christian Church, Burrton, with the Rev. Charles Kerr and the
Rev. Sherman Sack presiding. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m.
today at Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead. Burial will be in Mt. Hope
Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the church or
Hospice of Reno County, in care of the funeral home.
