Galen R. Buller, 55, went to be with the Lord, Monday Feb. 25, 2013 at Harry Hynes Hospice in Wichita, after a battle with Lymphoma.
He was born August 1, 1957 in Newton to Harold D. and Verna Voth Buller. Galen grew up in Burrton and was a 1975 graduate of Burrton High School. He worked for Center Interpriwes in Wichita as a welder. He had a lifelong interest in mathematics, sciencne, chess and politics. Theree were many family discussions centered around these topics.
He is survived by his father, Harold D. Buller of Newton; daughter, LeeAnn Buller of Concordia,, brothers, Darryl Buller, Severn, Md.; and Bradley Buller of Newton. He also has two nephews and a niece, Mark, David and Maria Buller. He was preceded in death by his mother, Verna Buller.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday at Petersen Funeral Home in Newton. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.Funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday (March 1, 2013) at Meridian Baptist Church in Newton, with Pastor Scott Kliewer and Chaplain Jerroll Martens presiding. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Newton. Memorials are suggested to Victory in the Valley, in care of Petersen Funeral Home, Newton.
