Reuben David Buller, 93, was born November 8, 1919 to Daniel C. and Elizabeth Buller at Halsteaad. He lived 93 years, 7 months and 24 days. He died at the Halstead Health and Rehab Center July 2, 2013.
He was baptised in the Church of God in Christ Mennonite January 28, 1937. On August 9, 1942, he married Marie Helen Nightingale at Fredonia. They settled in the Halstead area and had one son. Marie passed away in 2000.
Reuben served his church in many positions. He was a song leader and teacher who loved to praise the Lord in song. He was on the board that compiled the Christian Hymnal used by many today. Reuben and Marie served the church for 29 years, overseeing and managing the Goospel Tract and Bible Society.
Survivors: four sons, David, Daniel, Bob and Brian; one granddaughter and seven great grandchildren.
He leaves five sisters; Amanda Unruh; Hilma Dirks; Ada Mae Koehn and Helen Reimer, all of Halstead; Judy of Texas and one brother, Chris of Newton. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Jonas, Aaron, Irvin, Jim and one sister, Edna Koehn
Services were held at the church July 6 and burial followed at Halstead Cemetery.
