Claudie V. Sizelove, 84, died Thursday, October 13, 2013 at Newton Medical Center. He was born July 31, 1929 in Knowles, Oklahoma to James C. Sizelove and Ada L. Gleason Sizelove. On March 25, 1965 he married Helen F. Sails and she survives of the home.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Winifred E. Northrop who he married November l4, 1949 in Perryton, Texas. Claudie was a member of the First Christian Church in Newton and was a retired farmer/stockman. He also worked as a real estate agent, auctioneer and rural mail carrier. Claudie was a loving husband, father and friend. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his many friends and family members.
Survivors: wife, Helen of the home; son, J. Mark and wife, Candy Sizelove of Newton; daughters; Katie and husband Phillip McPheeters;Cindy and husband, Jelke Pyl, both of Newton; Leta and husband Mike Thomas of Halstead; and Debbie Ford of Hutchinson; 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Claudie was also preceded in death by his parents; first wife; brother, Charles Sizelove; sister, Margaret Apperson and son-in-law Ben Ford.
A memorial service will be held Monday, October 28, 2013 at First Christian Church in Newton. Burial will be at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery, Newton.
