Mrs. Minnie B. Montford died at her home, Burrton RFD 1, at 3:15 p.m. Monday [July 1] after a nine months’ illness.
She was born in Mercer county, Missouri, July 14, 1872 and had lived in the Burrton community since 1885. She was a member of the Burrton Christian Church.
Mrs. Montford is survived by her widower; two daughters, Mrs. W. D. Pendleton, Hutchinson RFD 3, and Mrs. Theodore Peten, of the home; three sons, Arthur, South Hutchinson, Theodore, Pratt, and Irvan, Turon; 13 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday [July 3] at the Burrton Christian Church with burial in the Burrton Cemetery. Revs. M. J. Duncan and Floyd Shively will officiate.
