Robert L. "Bob" Reber, 83, died Monday December 16, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.  He was born October 12, 1930 in rural Halstead to Gilbert L. and Lola S.Shomber Reber.  On November 28, 1953 he married Iva L. Schmidt in North Newton.  She survives of the home.

Bob is retired from United Youthville in Newton as a chief financial officer.  He served his country in the U. S. Navy during the Korean War as an aviationn mechanic.

Bob was a longtime devoted charter member of the Trinity Heights United Methodisdt Church in Newton where he served on many boards and positions.  Bob's greatest  joy was his family and close friends, especially his grandchidren and grreat-grandchild.  He greatly looked forward to spending time with those close to him and will be missed by many.

Bob is survived by his wife, Iva, of the home; sons, Ron Reber of Newton and Doug Reber and wife, Bridget of Keller, Texas; daughterss, Pam Taylor of Winfield and Carol Immenshuh and her husband, Kent of Leawood; one sister, Catherine Molzen and her husband, Allen of Belvue; 8 grandchildren and one great grandchild.  He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Wanda Neufeld.

Funeral services will be Saturday, December 21, 2003 at Trinity Heights United Methodist Church in Newton.  Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Newton.
