Linda Marie Heddin (Engel) left this earth to be with Jesus on November 21, 2013 with her family by her side after a short battle with brain cancer. She was born to William and Iva Leah Brown Engel in Appleton, Wisconsiin. As the eldest of seven children, she attended Wichita's Nortrh High School, graduatiing in 1965.
After raisiing her four children, she pursued a career in real estate, opening her own real estate company, Grant Inc. Realtors in 1995. Most recently she worked with WorkSource of Wichita to help the less fortunate navigate public assistance programs and helping them find charitable organizations to meet their needs.
She is best known for her incredible smile, infectious laugh and her way of showing love to the hurting and less fortunate.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jack Engel; sister, Dianna Rutschman of Valley Center and infant daughter, Paula Marie.
Survivors: Daniel (Charla) Heddin; Jonathan (Frances) Heddin and Susan (Mathew) Hastings all of Hesston; son Matthew Heddin of Tacoma, Washington; 13 beloved grandchildren; 3 sisters and 1 brother.
A graveside serevice was held at the City of Hesston Cemetery. A celebration of life diinner for all family and friends will follow.
