Crash Kills Hutch Woman

A 23-year-old Hutchinson woman was killed late Tuesday, and a Nebraska man injured in a one-car crash at the intersection of K-61 and US50, sheriff's deputies said.
Debra M. Snell of 229 East B, who was the driver of the car, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash that occurred about 11:30 p.m.

Jay Harris of Grand Island, Neb., was in satisfactory condition Wednesday at Hutchinson Hospital with cuts to his head and body.

Deputies said Miss Snell apparently failed to manuever the curve in the highway, causing the car to overturn several times.  The woman was pinned under the car, while Harris was thrown from the vehicle.  Deputies said debris from the wreck was strewn for several hundred feet.
