Girl Dead, Parents Hurt

Joyce Elaine Jones, 11, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert F. Jones, RFD 4, was killed Monday afternoon when the pickup truck in which she was riding went out of control and overturned on US-40, west of Agate, Colo.

The little girl suffered a skull fracture and other injuries.  Her father, 45, driver of the truck, suffered shoulder and rib fractures, cuts and shock.  Mrs. Jones received foot cuts.  Both were taken to Colorado General Hospital, Denver.

Carol, 16, and Beverly, 9, were uninjured.  Carol called relatives at Burrton following the accident, and an uncle, Frederick L. Jones, left immediately for Denver.

Jones, an employee of Consolidated Rebuilders Inc., had taken his family on a vacation trip to Colorado.

No more information concerning the accident, or condition of Mr. and Mrs. Jones had been received Tuesday by Jones' mother, Mrs. Beulah Jones, Burrton.
