Marlin Guhr

Marlin Guhr, 52, Route 2 of Newton, died Tuesday (April 21, 1998) at Columbia Wesley Medical Center.

He was born July 14, 1945, in Goessel to Daniel and Velma (Schmidt) Guhr. He married Paula Alley Dec. 10, 1966, in Indianapolis. She survives.

He was a member of the Newton Bible Church and was a lifetime resident of the Goessel and Walton areas.

Other survivors include: two sons, Marlin Dale Jr., of Great Bend and Steven Allen of Walton; one daughter, Twila K. Guhr of the home; two brothers, Clayton Guhr of Versailles, Mo., and Rena Guhr of rural Newton; two sisters, Elfrieda Schmidt of Omaha, Neb., and Wilma Boller of Kalona, Iowa; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Newton Bible Church with the Rev. Ted Veer officiating. Friends may call until 9 p.m. today at Miller Funeral Home in Goessel.

Memorials have been established with Bethesda Home or Wichita Rescue Mission in care of the funeral home.
