Anna Ruth Ediger Baehr

GARDEN CITY, N.Y. -- Anna Ruth Ediger Baehr, 82, teacher and poet, died Wednesday (June 24, 1998) in Garden City, N.Y.

She was born March 23, 1916, to missionary Jacob B. and Agatha (Regier) Ediger. She married Karl Baehr in August 1938. He preceded her in death Sept. 15, 1992.

She attended Bethel College. She was baptized by her father in the Cheyenne Indian Church in Clinton, Okla.

Survivors include: one daughter, Beth Bullard of Pennsylvania; one son, Joel Baehr of Connecticut; four brothers, Gus Ediger of Newton, Ott Ediger of Sinton, Texas, Tony Ediger of Orange, Texas, and Don Ediger of Overland Park; one sister, Hilda Voth of North Newton; four grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Alvin C. Ediger and Theodore A. Ediger.
