Edna Violet Frase

Edna Violet Frase, 91, 200 S.W. 14th, homemaker, died Sunday (July 12, 1998) at Friendly Acres Retirement Community.

She was born Feb. 5, 1907, in Sedgwick to George and Nettie (Burril) King. She married George M. Frase on July 20, 1930, in Wichita. He preceded her in death in 1989.

She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include: one daughter, Charlotte A. Frase of Newton; one brother, Bernard King of San Marcos, Texas; and two sisters, Rose Todd and Ruth Nellans, both of Wichita. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, William King and George King; and three sisters, Lottie King, Nettie Latham and Mary Neagle.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Hubbard from Assembly of God in Newton officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Petersen Funeral Home.

Memorials have been established with First Baptist Church in care of the funeral home.
