William Lloyd Foley

EDMOND, Okla. -- William Lloyd Foley, 64, died Friday (Aug. 14, 1998) at Oklahoma City after a lengthy illness.

He was born May 9, 1934, in Newton to Emmett Leland and Jessie A. (Myers) Foley. He married Judith Anne Foley. She survives of Edmond, Okla.

He was raised in Newton and was a 1954 graduate of Newton High School. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He received the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Medal, Korean Service Medal and the United Nations Service Medal.

Prior to his retirement he was a building contractor in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana.

Other survivors include: one son, Michael L. Foley of Meridian, Okla.; one daughter, Pamela Stephenson of Yukon, Okla.; and one granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Judith Linda Felten.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at North Colonial Chapel at Vondel L. Smith and Son Mortuary in Oklahoma City. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Newton.
