Victoria Ann 'Vicki' Klassen

Victoria Ann "Vicki" Klassen, 76, 716 Meadowlark Lane, homemaker, died Monday (Aug. 17, 1998) at Columbia Wesley Medical Center.

She was born Nov. 4, 1921, in Emporia to Victor and Ann (Nanninga) Trusler. She married Dr. Daniel S. Klassen in 1948, in Emporia. He preceded her in death Dec. 10, 1981.

She was a member of First United Church of Christ, Ladies Reading Circle and P.E.O. She was a former school teacher in Cimarron and Newton. She moved to Newton in 1945.

Survivors include: two daughters, Barbara Klassen of Silver Plume, Colo., and Kathleen Brown of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; and two grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Christian A. Tirre from First United Church of Christ and Joyce Holmes, rector from St. Matthews Episcopal Church officiating.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Petersen Funeral Home.

Memorials have been established with Emporia State University and First United Church of Christ in care of the funeral home.
