Bert Henry Bishop
PEABODY -- Bert Henry Bishop, 87,
retired ice plant worker in Newton for 30 years, died Tuesday (Sept.
15, 1998) at Peabody Community Living Center.
He was born Aug. 29, 1911, in Missouri
to James and Ollie (Payne) Bishop. He married Pebble Jane White on
Aug. 13, 1930, in Buffalo, Mo. She survives of Peabody.
He also worked for Full Vision in
Newton for 12 years.
Other survivors include: one brother,
Delmar Bishop of Somerset, Ky.; and nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m.
Thursday at Prairie Lawn Cemetery with Pastor Jim Pohlman
officiating. Friends may call from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. today at Baker
Funeral Home in Peabody.
Memorials have been established with
Prairie Lawn Cemetery Association in care of the funeral home.
