Paul L. Falk

VALLEY CENTER -- Paul L. Falk, 82, died Sunday (Oct. 4, 1998) at Sedgwick Healthcare Center.

He was born Feb. 12, 1916, in rural Furley to Frank and Clara Minnie (Ulbrich) Falk. He married Marguerite Patterson April 14, 1951, in Newton. She survives of Valley Center.

He worked as a pipe fitter in maintenance for the Derby Refinery, retiring after 30 years and was also a farmer.

He was a member of Kechi United Methodist Church in Kechi. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Other survivors include: one son, Frank Falk of Valley Center; one daughter, Paulette Falk of Waldorf, Md.; one sister, Jennie Diefenthaler of Kiel, Wis., and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and seven sisters.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Kechi United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mike Marion officiating. Burial will be in the Green Valley Cemetery in Furley. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Petersen Funeral Home.

Memorials have been established with American Heart Association and Kechi United Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.
