Frances Evelyn Rexer

BUHLER -- Frances Evelyn Rexer, 79, died Monday (Oct. 5, 1998) at Buhler Sunshine Home.

She was born Aug. 25, 1919, in Reno County to Francis Edward and Ethel (Freese) Baughman. She married John Hubert Rexer May 25, 1941. He preceded her in death February 1962.

She was a bus driver for Buhler School District for 32 years and worked for the U. S. Postal Service for 23 years, retiring in 1987. She was a member of Westside Baptist Church in Hutchinson.

Survivors include: two sons, Donald P. Rexer of North Little Rock, Ark., and Steven E. Rexer of Topeka; one sister, Vada Hudspeth of Halstead; two brothers, Ray E. Baughman of Birmingham, Ala., and Ralph Baughman of Wimberly, Texas; and five grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by one sister, Faye Allen; and three half-sisters, Norma Grubbs, Leah Wiley and Gladys Taylor.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Westside Baptist Church in Hutchinson. Burial will be in Burrton Cemetery. Friends may call from until 8 p.m. today with family greeting friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Buhler Mortuary.

Memorials have been established with Buhler Sunshine Home and American Diabetes Association in care of the funeral home.
