Fern L. Ballard
Fern L. Ballard, 81, 1200 E. Seventh,
beautician, died Friday (Nov. 13, 1998) at Presbyterian Manor in
Newton.
She was born April 25, 1917, in
Robinson, Ill., to James Claude and Dell Richart East. She married
Curtis L. Ballard in 1948 in Robinson, Ill. He preceded her in death
January 1957.
She was a member of the Zion United
Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary and Eagles Auxiliary, all
of Robinson, Ill.
Survivors include: one son, Lander
Ballard of Newton; one daughter, Marlene Pearcy of San Antonio; three
grandsons; and one step-grandson. She also was preceded in death by
one sister.
Memorial services will be at a later
time in Robinson, Ill.
Memorials have been established with
Newton Presbyterian Manor in care of Broadway Colonial Funeral Home.
