Sadie E. Tieking
Sadie E. Tieking, 91, formerly of 431
E. Eighth, homemaker, died Wednesday (Dec. 16, 1998) at Newton
Presbyterian Manor.
She was born Nov. 18, 1907, in Damar to
Mose M. and Louise M. (Carron) Thyfault. She married Oscar R. Tieking
May 24, 1937, in Damar. He survives of Newton.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic
Church, St. Mary's Altar Society and Daughter of Isabella, all of
Newton. She volunteered as a gray lady for the American Red Cross.
Other survivors include: two daughters,
Judie A. Rogge of Kansas City, Mo., and Joyce M. Witsken of Basking
Ridge, N.J.; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was
preceded in death by three brothers, Mose Thyfault, Louis Thyfault
and William Thyfault; and three sisters, Emma Des Marteau, Sister
Bernice Thyfault and Irene Thyfault.
Rosary service will be at 6 p.m. today
at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be at
10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Ken
Schuckman officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic
Cemetery. Friends may call until 9 p.m. today at Broadway Colonial
Funeral Home.

Alzheimer's Association in care of the funeral home.
