Nancy E. Hopkins

Nancy E. Hopkins, 81, 1035 S.E. Third, homemaker, died Tuesday (March 2, 1999) Newton Medical Center.

She was born Feb. 20, 1918, in Newton to Sherman and Lillie C. (Carter) Barker. She married Kenneth L. Inghram in Newton. He survives. They later divorced. She married Harry B. Hopkins in Newton. He preceded her in death April 18, 1976.

She was a member of First Christian Church in Newton and Broadway Christian Church in Wichita. She was raised in Newton, moving to Wichita since the mid-1950s, where she lived most of her life. She was a Newton High School graduate.

Other survivors include: two sons, David Inghram and Gary Inghram, both of Wichita; one brother, Kenneth (Burke) Barker of Newton; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by one sister, Erma Kelleher.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Greenwood Cemetery in Newton with Chaplain Carolyn Schwarz from Kansas Christian Home officiating.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Petersen Funeral Home.
