Loren K. Duncan, 78, died Monday, October 14, 2013 at his residence. He ws born March 19, 1935 in Abilene to John W. and Lulu I. Sexton Duncan. On July 19, 1951 he married Glenna Bowman in Salina and she preceded him in death. On September 3, 1972 he married Donna Murphy iin Newton and she also preceded him in death.
Loren held his real estate, stock broker and insurance licenses and he also worked as a building materials salesman. He was a memberof the toastmasters and Central Community Church in Wichita. He enjoyed dining out, buying and selling antique furniture and he greatly enjoyed traveling. He never met a strangere and was a loyal friend and loving father and grandfather.
Survivors: two sons, Terry Duncan of Wichita and Michael Duncan of Newton; two step-sons, Ricky Portlock of Park City and Kelley Portlock of Jones, Oklahoma; daughter, Jacqueline and her husband, Michaeel Spangler of Walton; stepdaughter, Terri Cramer of Wichita; one brother, Robert Duncan of Abilene; one sister, Joyce Akinn of Manhattan; 12 grandchildren and step-grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents. two wives; sister, Ella Henoch; and brothers, George Duncan and Earl Duncan.
A memorial service will be December 22, 2013 at the Walton Methodist Church.
