Milton H. Unruh

Milton H. Unruh, 82, retired farmer, died Saturday (March 27, 1999) at Bethesda Home in Goessel.

He was born Feb. 18, 1917, in Newton to Albert and Minnie (Lehrman) Unruh. He married Agnes Goertzen Oct. 23, 1949, at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church in rural Goessel. She survives of Newton.

He was a graduate of Goessel High School. He farmed in the Goessel area for many years. He lived in the Newton community since time of marriage.

He was a member of Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church, Wheat Heritage and Engine and Threshing Co., in Goessel. He was a toy tractor collector and enjoyed restoring actual antique tractors.

Other survivors include: three sons, John M. Unruh, Warren L. Unruh and Steven D. Unruh, all of Newton; one brother, Marlyn Unruh of Goessel; one sister, Evelyn Schmidt of Goessel; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church with Pastors James Dunn and Mark Wiens officiating. Burial will be in the Alexanderwohl Church Cemetery. Friends may call until 8 p.m. today at Miller Funeral Home in Goessel.

Memorials have been established with Bethesda Home in care of the funeral home.
