Mary Jane Saylor

Mary Jane Saylor, 74, 412 Bender Lane in Newton, former secretary to superintendent of Santa Fe Railroad, died today (April 8, 1999) at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus.

She was born Feb. 13, 1925, in Cottonwood Falls to Lesslie E. and Beth (Byram) Mann. She married Ted L. Saylor Jan. 30, 1948, in Newton. He survives of Newton.

She was a member of First Christian Church and VFW Auxiliary, both of Newton.

Other survivors include: two sons, Kim L. Saylor of Newton and Cory L. Saylor of Wichita; one sister, Jolene Polley of Emporia; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Kyle Bryant Saylor.

There will be no services. Burial will be at a later date.

Memorials have been established with First Christian Church in Newton in care of Broadway Colonial Funeral Home.
