Donald Delano Dent

POTWIN -- Donald Delano Dent, 66, formerly of Newton, retired Prestressed Concrete employee in Newton, died Wednesday (June 16, 1999) at El Dorado.

He was born April 6, 1933, in Whitewater to Ulla and Alta (Walker) Dent. He married Frances Geer March 24, 1968, in Potwin. She survives of the home.

He was a member of Assembly of God Church in Newton. He lived in Newton, moving to Potwin in 1968.

Other survivors include: three brothers, Kenneth Dent of Livermore, Calif., Bob Dent of Neodesha and Lloyd Dent of Ft. Scott; and one sister, Wanita Ullum of Potwin. He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Assembly of God Church in Newton with the Revs. Kenneth Thee and John Hubbard officiating. Burial will be in the Whitewater Cemetery.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday with family greeting friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Bob Lamb Funeral Home Chapel in Whitewater.

Memorials have been established with American Heart Association in care of the funeral home.
