Elna Jane Dick
BUHLER -- Elna Jane Dick, 67, died
Friday (Aug. 27, 1999) at Hutchinson Hospital.
She was born Nov. 11, 1931, in Newton
to B. G. and Elise (Wiebe) Harder. She married Harold H. Dick Oct.
24, 1954, in Whitewater. He preceded her in death Dec. 24, 1998.
She was a graduate of Bethel Deaconess
Hospital's nursing program. She worked as a registered nurse at
Hutchinson Hospital for 35 years, retiring in 1996.
She was a member of Hebron Mennonite
Church in Buhler, Heart of Kansas Quilt Guild and charter member of
54 EHU.
Survivors include: two sons, Russell
Dick of McPherson and Loren Dick of Buhler; one daughter, Elaine
Schmidt of Inman; two brothers, Willis Harder of North Newton and Don
Harder of Whitewater; one sister, Lois Nattier of Newton; and 13
grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by one son,
Duane Dick.
Graveside services will be at 6:30 p.m.
today at Hebron Cemetery in Buhler with a memorial service following
at 8 p.m. today at Hebron Mennonite Church with Pastor Walter Friesen
officiating.
Memorials have been established with
Hospice of Reno County or MCC in care of Buhler Mortuary.
