Charles Lamendola Sr.
HESSTON -- Charles Lamendola Sr., 73,
formerly of Kansas City, retired truck driver for Earl M. Jorgensen
Steel Co., serving for more than 30 years, died Thursday (Sept. 2,
1999) at Newton Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 19, 1926, in Des
Moines, Iowa, to Nichols LaDoal and Josephine (Spalitto) Lamendola.
He married Mary M. Lamendola. She preceded him in death in 1991.
He was a longtime Kansas City area
resident, moving to Hesston.
Survivors include: one brother, Louis
Lamendola of Blue Springs, Mo.; one daughter, Sandy Boro of Shawnee;
one son, Charles "Rick" Lamendola Jr. of Lake Chapparal;
one step-daughter, Sharon Drees of Gladstone, Mo.; one step-son,
Donald Nibel of Fredonia; companion, Ruth Toothman of Hesston; 13
grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m.
Wednesday at Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs. Burial
will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Kansas City.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today
at the funeral home.
