James G. Jones

FURLEY -- James G. Jones, 70, retired aircraft mechanic for Learjet and the U.S. Air Force, died Saturday (Sept. 4, 1999) in Furley.

He was born Sept. 10, 1928, in Chicago, to John Glenn and Margaret (McKeag) Jones.

He served in the U.S. Air Force from February 1952 to July 1972.

Survivors include: two sons, John M. Jones of Wichita and Glynn Jones of Whitewater; one daughter, Karen D. Brown of Seattle; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at The Federated Church in Whitewater with Pastor Scott Martin officiating. Burial will be in the Whitewater Cemetery. Friends may call until 8 p.m. today and 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Bob Lamb Funeral Home in Whitewater.

Memorials have been established with Fredric Remington High School Athletic Department in care of the funeral home.
