Pearl Margaret Christiansan

SEDGWICK -- Pearl Margaret Christiansan, 82, of Sedgwick, died Saturday (Nov. 27, 1999) at Greenwood County Hospital in Eureka. She was an employee of Leon's Market in Sedgwick for 38 years, retiring in 1995.

She was born June 7, 1917, in Wathena to Adolph and Dorthea (Keilwitz) Weigant. She married Elmer L. Christiansan July 31, 1935, in Wathena. He survives of Sedgwick.

Other survivors include: one son, Elmer Christansan Jr. of Minturn, Colo.; three daughters, LaDonna Barnes of Wichita, Peggy Randall of El Dorado and Shirley Koerner of Newton; one brother, Adolph Weigant of Wichita; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, two sisters and one great-grandson, Brady Koerner.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Plymouth Congregational Church in Sedgwick with Pastor Craig Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery in Sedgwick.

Friends may call until 9 p.m. today at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home.

Memorials have been established with American Heart Association or Diabetes Association in care of the funeral home.
