Willard 'Bill' G. Gehring

MOUNDRIDGE -- Willard "Bill" G. Gehring, 72, of Moundridge, died Friday (Feb. 4, 2000) at Hutchinson Hospital. He was born April 7, 1927, in Harvey County to Emil J.C. and Goldie (Schwartz) Gehring.

He married Lenora Funk Oct. 18, 1956, in Goessel. She survives of the home. He was a lifelong Moundridge area resident and a former employee of Hay and Forage in Hesston. He was a volunteer worker at the Etc. Shop in Hutchinson. He was a member of Eden Mennonite Church in rural Moundridge.

Other survivors include: two sons, Stewart Gehring of Chicago and Richard Gehring of Manhattan; one daughter, Ruthie Goering of Valley Center; four brothers, Marvin Gehring of Whitewater, Jake Gehring of Buhler, Wayne Gehring of Buhler and Harvey Gehring of South Hutchinson; one sister, Twilla Stucky of Hesston; and six grandchildren.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Monday at Eden Church Cemetery. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Eden Mennonite Church in rural Moundridge with Pastor Lee Lever officiating.

Visitation will be 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Moundridge Funeral Home. Contributions may be sent to Mennonite Central Committee in care of the funeral home.
