Peggy Paul

Peggy Paul, 70, died today (Feb. 11, 2000) at her home in Newton.

She was born Nov. 30, 1929, in Newton to William P. and Marie (Dick) Wiens. She married Earl F. Paul April 24, 1954, in Newton. He preceded her in death April 3, 1967.

She was a club manager for American Legion in Newton for many years. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary in Newton. She worked for Montgomery Ward and Norcraft, both of Newton.

Survivors include: two daughters, Linda Smith and Earlene Cannon, both of Newton; and six grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; one son, William Paul; and two brothers, Kenneth Wiens and Norman Wiens.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Mennonite Church in Newton with Pastor Rusty Bonham officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday with family greeting friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Petersen Funeral Home.

Memorials have been established with Center for Basic Cancer Research at Kansas State University in care of the funeral home.
