Helen (Bourn) Fluke

WHITEWATER -- Helen (Bourn) Fluke, 84, homemaker, died Tuesday (March 28, 2000) at Wheat State Manor Nursing Home in Whitewater.

She was born June 29, 1915, in Newton to George and Laura (Webster) Bourn. She married Orville Fluke Nov. 25, 1936, in Wichita. He preceded her in death in 1977.

She was a member of Federated Church, American Red Cross for 55 years, American Legion Auxiliary, Whitewater Kid's Club, New Horizon Friendship Club and Senior Citizen's Bowling League.

Survivors include: three daughters, Naomi (Jo) Androes, Carol Sue Penner and Roberta Lee Paulson, all of Newton; one sister, Maxine Holmes of Wichita; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Federated Church in Whitewater. Burial will be in the Whitewater Cemetery.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday with family greeting friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Lamb-Nutter Mortuary in Whitewater.

Memorials have been established with American Red Cross in care of the funeral home.
