Andrew Jackson Coffman

   Andrew Jackson Coffman died.The GAR had charge of the burial at Hillside Cemetery in Sedgwick..  He was born in Owen County, Indiana in 1838.  He enlisted in Co. C 97th Regiment Indiana. He was a Volunteer Infantry in 1862 and served to the end of the Civil War.  In 1865 he was appointed second lieutenant.  He married Josephine Wiley in 1860. He moved to Illinois in 1868 and 1873 moved to Sedgwick.  His ten children were present at the funeral; Mrs. Rose Childs; Mrs. Bertha Jones; George; J. D.; Mrs. Etta Kinzeer; Theodore; L. G; William; Charles and John.  Other survivors are his wife and 22 grandchildren.
