Obituary

   Mrs. J. W. Stanley died at h er h ome four miles SW of Burrton in Valaley Township at 3 a.m. Saturday.  A  little one arrived at the home at 10:00 p.m. and survives the mother who a few hoours later passed out to the great beyond.

   Born Ava Maude Leamon in Lucas County, Iowa in 1872, she came to Reno County, Kansas in 1882.  She married J. W. Stanley in 1889. She was the mother of 12 children; survivors father, mother, mother, 2 brothers.  The son. Edward, arrived for the funeral from Henrysville, Indiana where he is instructiing a class at Purdue University in Civil engineering.  Mortal remains were laid to rest in Vansickle Cemetery.
