Dale L. Bender, 84, retired turkey farmer, died Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Halstead Health and Rehabitatiion. He was born July 5, 1928 at Sedgwick to S. Lewi and Nellie L. (Crawford) Bender. He was aamember of Pleasant Valley Church, rural Sedgwick and Nebraska Turkey Growers Association.
On June 3, 1961 he married Joyce M. Dickson at Pleasant Valley Church. She surives. Other survivors: son Steve (9Kathy) Bender, Sedgwick; daughters; Theresa (Stan) Garnett of Halstead and Rhonda Bender, Valley Center; brother, Gene (Bethine) Bender, Kinsley; 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
He was preceded by an infant sister, Ruth Bender.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 Friday at Kaufman Funeral Home. Visitatiion will be from 6:00 to 8 p.m.
A memorial Service will be Saturday at Pleasant Valley Church, near Bentley. A private family inurnment will be in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Memorials to the Church ofGood Shepherd Hospsice.
