FRANCIS MATILDA BROWN

Francis Matilda Wenban was born in Lakewood, Ohio, to Henry S. and Maria Wenban, July 8th, 1867.

In 1872 she went with her parents to Halstead, Kansas, where they were among the early pioneers. Halstead was their home for many years.

On June 27th, 1888, she was married to Charles Barnard, who died in 1905. In 1913 she married Argo Brown, and for the last three years they have made their home in Goldendale.

She passed from this life on October 29th at the home of her sister, Mrs. E.H. Lee.

Besides her husband, she leaves to mourn her death, one sister, Mrs. E.H. Lee of Goldendale, Wash.; one brother, S.W. Wenban, of Cleveland, Ohio; eight nephews and nieces; also a step-mother and three half sisters, of Portland, Ore.

MRS. ARGO BROWN

Francis Matilda Wenban was born in Lakewood, Ohio, to Henry S. and Maria Wenban, July 8, 1867.

In 1872 she moved with her parents to Halstead, Kansas, where they were among the early pioneers. On June 27, 1888, at Halstead, she was married to Charles Barnard. He died in 1905, the deceased moving to Colorado Springs where she operated a boarding house. In 1913 she met and married Argo Brown. They lived for a time in California and Utah, coming to Goldendale three years later, when they made their home up to the time of her death. She passed from this life on October 29th, at the home of her sister, Mrs. E.H. Lee.
Besides her husband, the deceased leaves to mourn her loss, one sister, Mrs. E.H. Lee, of Goldendale, Wash., one brother, S.W. Wenban, of Cleveland, Ohio; eight nephews and nieces; also a step mother and three half sisters, of Portland.
