Darrin S Schmidt

HESSTON -- Darrin S. Schmidt, 39, of Hesston died Saturday (Oct. 5, 2002) at Newton Medical Center. He was born Dec. 20, 1962, in Newton to Jake A. and Hazel Roberta (McCoy) Schmidt. His parents preceded him in death. Survivors include: a son, Derek Schmidt of Newton; two brothers, Bob Schmidt of Overland Park and Dean Schmidt of McPherson; and two sisters, Barbara Bergen of Omaha, Neb., and Pat Krehbiel of McPherson. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Petersen Funeral Chapel with Pastor Roger O'Neil of Peabody Bible Church officiating.   Burial will be in Tabor Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p. m. Thursday at Petersen Funeral Home.

Memorials have been established with Derek Schmidt Education Fund in care of the funeral home.
