LeeRoy Dale Lambert

LeeRoy Dale Lambert, 87, of 1404 Hillcrest, died Thursday (July 29, 1999) at Via Christi-St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita.

He was born Sept. 16, 1911, in rural Elbing to David and Hattie Lois (Guinty) Lambert. He served in the 8th Air Force, 95th Bomb Group as a master sergeant from February 1942 to November 1945. He married Margaret Snell on July 21, 1945 in Wichita. She survives of the home.

He retired as a district manager and sale representative for Rexall Drug Co. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Newton, the Masonic Lodge in Clearwater, the Scottish Rite in Wichita, the Air Force Association, the Disabled American Veterans and the American Legion in Newton.

Other survivors include a brother, Hubert Lambert of Peabody and a sister, Lucille Patterson of Las Vegas, Nev.

Visitation will be until 5 p.m. today, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Petersen Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be 9:30 a.m. Monday at Pleasant View Cemetery in Elbing. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. Monday at the Columbus Avenue Church of Christ with Minister Jerry Rushford officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Maude Carpenter's Children's Home or the Church of Christ in Newton.
