Old Settler Dead

R.E. Jones, Formerly of Burrton, Died at Los Angeles, California

One of the oldest settlers in this part of the State, R. E. Jones, died on Wednesday at Los Angeles, California, where he has been making an extended stay.  The body was brought to the old home at Burrton and the funeral services will be held there tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 at the Christian Church.

Mr. Jones owned a farm on the edge of Burrton, when the town was first built and was one of the first settlers in this part of the State.  He is the father of Owen Jones of Burrton.
