Nancy Brown (1931 - 2015)
Obituary
Nancy Lee Danforth Brown passed away
the evening of Monday (August 31, 2015) at her home in San Bruno,
California. She was born September 14, 1931.
Nancy graduated from Newton High School
before earning a teaching degree from the University of Kansas. She
began her teaching career in the Plaza area of Kansas City, Missouri.
From there she spent four years in Saudi Arabia teaching American
students working for Aramco. After moving back to the states she
taught second and third grades in San Francisco until her retirement.
In 1976, Nancy married Robert Brown.
They lived in San Bruno until Bob's death in 1993. Nancy remained in
the home, working and doing beloved crafts and yard work until her
last month.
There will be a combined "Remembrance
Gathering" for the sisters, Sally and Nancy Danforth at 11:30
a.m. Thursday (October 29, 2015) at the Breadbasket in Newton.
