Obituary
Myrl Boyd Brown, 56, passed away on
Saturday, November 21, 2015 at St. Francis Health Center Topeka, Ks.
He is the son of Phyllis Rose Brown Hesston, Ks. and the late William
Oscar Brown.
Myrl was born January 29, 1959 in
Newton, Ks. He attended Newton High School and then joined the Navy
where he was stationed in San Diego,CA. until his discharge. After
leaving the Navy he did various jobs on and off until he landed his
dream job of being a bass guitarist for several bands that included,
Josh Vowell and the Rumble, Brothawood and the latest band Cleveland
Blues. Music was his life and he will be missed by many who followed
along with him. He shared his passion for living and a passion for
making music with his longtime girlfriend Terry Parker of Topeka.
Myrl is survived by his mother Phyllis
Rose Brown, Hesston,Ks. and two sisters. Rowena Chaple and husband
Willie Park City,Ks., and Amanda (Mandy) Botterweck and husband Terry
of Newton. He is also survived by brothers, Jerry Brown, Lead Hill,
AR., Stanley Brown, Phoenix, AZ., and Doug Spencer, Maui, HI. Along
with the above survivors are many nieces and nephews and his beloved
pug Max. He was preceded in death by his father William O. Brown and
a brother Philip Cope.
Private family burial will be at a
later date in Greenwood Cemetery, Newton, Kansas.
