Obituary

Elaine Kasitz died 26, 2015, surrounded by her loving family, at her home in Newton. She was born on June 15, 1936 to Lester and Lorene (Williams) Wagner.

On May 21, 1955 she married Richard Kasitz in Walton. This year they celebrated 60 wonderful years of marriage.

Elaine was a member of the First United Church of Christ, serving with the Women's Fellowship as well as helping with many of the church functions and events. She enjoyed traveling and went on several international trips with Richard. Elaine was also a member of the Red Hat Society in Newton.

Preceding her in death were her parents, an infant daughter, Cynthia Joy and a sister Janice Hiebert.

Survivors include her husband Richard, Newton; two daughters, Connie (Rodger) Hendrix, Andover, and daughters Janae and Lisa, Sheryl (Bret) Burton Wichita, daughters Rebecca and Sara, and a son, Gary (Kimber) Kasitz, Wichita, and children, Alexa and Jaden Kasitz, Emma, Katie, and Grant Kaiser; sister, Barbara Reimer, Newton; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will take place from 1 to 8 p.m. July 28, 2015 at the First United Church of Christ, 210 E. 4th St, Newton, KS, with the family greeting from 6 to 8 p.m.

Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, (July 29, 2015) at the church. Graveside services will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Newton.

Memorials have been established with First United Church of Christ or Good Shepard Hospice in care of the funeral home, 120 E. Broadway, Newton, KS 67114
