Treasa L. Carter

PAWNEE ROCK - Treasa L. Carter, 31, died Thursday (Jan. 11, 2007) in Pawnee Rock. She was born July 18, 1975, to William D. and Cheryl (Pryor) Carter. Treasa enjoyed collecting ceramic dolls and sewing needlepoint. She enjoyed time with her children and looked forward to spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her mother and stepfather Robert Henkle of Great Bend; father and stepmother Patti Carter of Newton; sons Austin Lee Carter of Newton, William Harley Carter of Newton, Duffie Rowland Chapman IV of Pawnee Rock, Bryon William Chapman of Pawnee Rock; step-sisters Kristi Hill of Tampa and Laurie Staniec of Topeka; grandmother Alberta Anna Hull of Gardner; paternal grandfather Carl Henkle of Great Bend; and paternal grandmother Mary Henkle of Great Bend.

She was preceded in death by grandparents Sherman and Delores Carter; and grandfather Paul E. Pryor.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Newton with the Rev. Jim Mainzer officiating. Burial will be at the cemetery.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Petersen Funeral Home in Newton. The family will receive friends following the Rosary service.

Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Domestic Violence Prevention Fund in care of the funeral home.
