Obituary
HALSTEAD - Orville Dean Becker, 83,
passed away Saturday (Jan. 16, 2016) at the Harry Hynes Memorial
Hospice, Wichita.
He was born on October 27, 1932, in
rural Halstead, the son of Eben and Lena Koehn Becker. He was a
member of the Grace Mennonite Congregation, Halstead.
On April 12, 1953, he married Arlene
Koehn. She passed away on April 9, 1999. He married Hope Smith on
Jan. 9, 2005.
Surviving with precious memories are
his wife, Hope, Halstead; one daughter, Sharon and Harold Koehn,
Texline, Texas; six sons, Linferd and Janean, Sondheimer, Louisiana,
Alvie and Laura, Wharton, Texas, Arlo and Julie, Halstead, Doyle and
Rochelle, Pryor, Oklahoma, Shelwyn and Kayla, Halstead, Jamie and
Crystal, Wharton, Texas; twenty-five grandchildren and thirteen
great-grandchildren; one brother, Richard and Debbie, Halstead. Also,
included are Hope's children, Rodney and Glenda Smith, Sedgwick.
Melanie and Jason Koehn, Troy and Krista Smith, Tricia and Brian
Holdeman, Jason and Tamara Smith, all of Halstead, and sixteen
grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m.
Tuesday (Jan. 19, 2016) at the Grace Mennonite Congregation Church,
Halstead. Visitation will be 3 to 5 p.m. Monday (Jan. 18, 2016) at
the Grace Mennonite Church and again 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. with family
present.
