Randy L. Luckey 1953 to 2016

Randy L. Luckey, 62, died on Tuesday (Feb. 2, 2016) at the Kansas Christian Home in Newton.

He was born on March 2, 1953 in Beloit to Mildred (Thull) and Kenneth E. Luckey.

Randy attended the Salina military school and was proud to have this military connection with his son, Richard. He cherished this throughout life.

During his years here in Newton, Randy was a manager at the Fox Theatre, and also at the Outlet mall Theaters under several previous companies. He enjoyed music and writing poems. Randy was a Chiefs fan and played the guitar on occasion. He will best be remembered by the quotes and sayings he had throughout his lifetime.

Randy was a member of the local Alcoholics Anonymous group where he attended faithfully and created special friendships within the group.

Preceding Randy in death were his parents and grandparents.

Survivors include two sons, Richard Luckey, Wichita, and Travis and wife Ashley Luckey, Park City; two brothers, Lennie E. Luckey and Larry E. Luckey, Newton; six grandchildren, Tyler, Talon and Taiden Sanchez, Kara Luckey, Terrick and Trippton Luckey; niece, Gwendolyn Nye , Fort Worth, Texas; great niece Kali Nye; and great nephew Colt Nye.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday (Feb. 8, 2016) at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home in Newton.

Visitation will be held at 10 a.m., just prior to the service on Monday.
