Obituary

Velma Schuessler, 71, of Sedgwick, went to be with her heavenly Father Thursday (March 31, 2016) at Wheat State Manor in Whitewater, Kansas.

Velma was born November 24, 1944, in Hillsboro, to Karl and Rachel (Banman) Reimer.

Over her 37 years of Prenatal Intensive Care nursing at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Velma touched thousands of lives with her caring hands. She was extremely committed to the premature babies she so gently cared for and loved her work and workmates. She carried that same love home to her family and her friends. Her smile was always displayed and contagious.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Jonathan.
