Eldon W. Baumann
BURRTON – Eldon W. Baumann, 84,
passed away Monday, Feb. 2, 2015, at Good Samaritan Healthcare
Center, Hutchinson.
He was born Nov. 16, 1930, at Halstead,
to Alfred (Mike) and Selma (Farber) Baumann.
Eldon grew up on the family farm with
his brother Allen, farmed for over 40 years, was a Haven High School
graduate, served in the U.S. Air Force, was an active member of
Burrton United Methodist Church, Burrton American Legion, 4-H Club
and served as a board member and past-president of USD 369 Burrton
schools.
On May, 10, 1959, he married Lola E.
Wray at Burrton. She preceded him in death Dec. 3, 2012.
Survivors include: sons, Lynn Baumann
of Hutchinson, Mark (Sandra) Baumann of Sunrise Beach, Mo., Jay
(Roseanne) Baumann of Andale; daughter, Mary (Matthew) Coughlin of
Lithia, Fla.; brother, Allen (Sharon) Baumann of Burrton; seven
grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 6,
2015, at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, rural Burrton, with
Rev. Kim Benson officiating.
Burial will follow at Valley Township
Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Pleasant Grove or Burrton United
Methodist Churches, in care of Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead, Kan.
