Lawrence W. Bullinger
Obituary
Lawrence W. Bullinger, 87, of Canton,
died Thursday (June 9, 2016), at Newton Medical Center. He was a
retired farmer and was a lifetime resident of the Canton area.
He was born December 29, 1928, in
McPherson, the son of Carl and Clara (Vogts) Bullinger. He graduated
from Canton High School and attended Kansas State University for two
and a half years. Lawrence also was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
On May 26, 1957, he was united in
marriage to Irma Burkner at Haven. They were the parents of four sons
and shared 59 years of marriage together.
Lawrence was a member of the Immanuel
Lutheran Church, the Lutheran Laymen's League and the Canton American
Legion Post #192. He was very active in many community and civic
organizations and served on numerous boards throughout the years,
including the Canton Fire Department, the Canton E.M.S. and the
Canton-Galva U.S.D. #419.
He is survived by his wife Irma; four
sons and their wives, Scot (Deb Houser), Minnetonka, Minnesota, Jay
(Connie Banman) of Canton, Philip (Shirley Bunk), Niwot, Colorado and
Reed (Brenda Burjes) of Montezuma; a sister, Margie Groneman of
Oregon; seven grandchildren, Keith Bullinger (Kate Gutierrez), Leah
(Cody) Taylor, Julie Bullinger, Brett Bullinger (Megan McDonald),
Austin, Rae and Eli Bullinger.
A brother, Wilbur, and a sister,
Gladys, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m.
Tuesday (June 14, 2016) at Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Interment will be in the church
cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday (June 13, 2016) at
Olson's Mortuary, Canton.

the Canton E.M.S. or The Lutheran Hour, in care of the mortuary.
