Obituary: Ruth Proctor
KS_Newton -- Ruth Proctor, 96, died on March 9, 2013, at
Schowalter Villa in Hesston.
She was born Feb. 9, 1917, in Mulvane to Frank W. and Vinia
(Bogan) Siegfreid. She went through school in Mulvane and graduated from
Mulvane High School in 1935.
She married Thomas Russell Boaz. To this union, two children
were born: Gibson Dean in 1940 and Barbara Jean in 1944. She married Wayne E.
Schul on June 5, 1959, and Wayne preceded her in death in November of 1975. She
then married Earl H. Proctor in 1982. Earl also preceded her in 1996.
Ruth was a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star
Chapter #107 and was a past Worthy Matron.
Survivors include one son, Gibson Dean Boaz; a
step-daughter, Carolyn Tarr; and step-sons, Gary Schul, Greg Proctor and Jack
Proctor. She has seven grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, and 24
great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Jean in
1993; her parents; and her brother, Lewis Dean Siegfreid.
Graveside committal service will be Friday, March 15, 2013,
at 1:30?p.m. at the Mulvane Cemetery with Chaplain Bill Eichelberger presiding.
Petersen Funeral Home of Newton is in charge of the
arrangements.
