Obituary: David Alan Kinkaid
David Alan Kinkaid of Fort Collins passed away on Dec. 19,
2012, at the age of 63.He was born in Wichita on July 2, 1949, to Ina Mae and
Jack Kinkaid. He had one brother, Phil, who pre-deceased him in 1972. He
graduated from Newton High School in Newton. He then attended and graduated
from Southwestern College in Winfield and worked as a public health director in
Harvey County. Shortly thereafter, he moved to Fort Collins, Colo., and worked
for the Larimer County Health Department. He then worked for Colorado State
University as an environmental health officer for more than 30 years,
eventually heading the Environmental Health Program. After moving to Fort
Collins, Colo., he married and had a son, Bryan Kinkaid. He later remarried to
Cathy Busch in 1989. He is survived by his mother, Ina Mae Kinkaid of Newton;
his wife, Cathy Busch-Kinkaid of Fort Collins, Colo.; his sons, Nathan Busch of
Denver, Michael Busch of Denver and Bryan Kinkaid of Denver; his
daughters-in-law, Marzycielsi Gibriella of Denver, Mindy Busch of Denver and
Meredith Chace of Denver; and his granddaughter, Micayla Busch. In lieu of
flowers, make donations to Trout Unlimited, the food bank of Larimer County or
McKee Hospice in Loveland, Colo. A celebration of life service will be
conducted at a later date.
